POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PRACTITIONER
Meet Corey, a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner passionate about helping individuals and their families achieve success. Whether it’s a small step toward a bigger goal or a major milestone worth celebrating. Corey is motivated by the belief that progress, no matter how small, deserves recognition, and that every achievement can build the confidence needed for long-term growth.

Corey’s journey into Positive Behaviour Support began with a background in Psychological Science, where he developed a strong interest in child development. This passion led him into a career in Child Protection, where he gained invaluable insight into human behaviour, resilience, and the importance of early intervention. These experiences shaped his commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed practice, and highlighted the power of safe, supportive environments in fostering meaningful change.
Throughout his professional career in child safety and disability support, Corey has worked extensively with individuals who have experienced complex trauma and disabilities. Supporting these individuals to overcome barriers, achieve their goals, and celebrate their wins has been one of the most rewarding parts of his career. These experiences have reinforced his belief that effective support is built on compassion, collaboration, and a deep understanding of each individual’s unique story. Corey is particularly passionate about working with children and young people, recognising that the right supports at the right time can have a lifelong impact. Guided by his belief that positive change is never the work of one person, Corey is committed to walking alongside families and communities to ensure every individual feels supported, understood, and respected.

“Working with children has shown me that early, trauma-informed intervention and supportive environments can create lifelong opportunities for growth and independence.” - Corey Tapsall
